Vanessa Long-Farrell is an American choreographer and educator noted for her theatrical style and activism work. She is a graduate of West Chester University of Pennsylvania with a BA In Theatre and Dance. After graduation she moved to New York City to begin her career in choreography and stage direction. She has choreographed  a total of seventeen Off- Broadway shows along with several short films and music videos. For her short film “Dissolve” she worked in close collaboration with Kate Barker-Froyland (Director/Writer of “Song One” with Anne Hathaway) which went on to be shown in several film festivals around the world. In October 2014 she founded the Vanessa Long Dance Company based in NYC. Vanessa has received glowing reviews about her work and received several features in magazines such as Dance Teacher Magazine, DanceInforma, Yoga Magazine, ACT Magazine, and Broadwayworld. Her work has been performed across the Unites States, Peru, and Italy. 


Esther was born and raised in Madrid, Spain. Her first contact with dancing was at the age of 8 when she joined a competition figure skating team. She competed and performed all around Spain in shows such as Mamma Mia on Ice and Aladdin on ice. At the age of 16, Esther decided to focus solely on dance. She joined Acro Dance Company based in Spain. After moving to New York, Esther began working as a freelance dancer  with choreographers such as Noelle Contey, Marc Andrew Nunez  and Jonathan Mathias Lassiter (Psychosomatic dance company). She has also performed all over the US in theatres such as the Cutting Room, Melrose Ballroom, Dixon Place, the Warsaw Theatre and the Trocadero Theatre. Esther became a member of the Vanessa Long Dance Company in 2014. She began as a dancer and has since been promoted to Rehearsal Director in 2016. She is also currently the Co- Artistic Director for Long 2, a pre-professional company run by the Vanessa Long Dance Company. Her latest projects include choreographing the Off-off Broadway show "Woof Woof" with  Director Leonard Peters and music by Bob Goldstone, co-choreographing a stage piece for A World Without Rape, and choreographed music videos for Ty Blue.


A native of Italy, Maria Vittoria Villa  began her studies with Ballet and modern dance at "Centro Studi Coreografici Teatro Carcano", Milano, where she graduated in 2013.
She then was awarded with a scholarship at The Ailey School, where she performed with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater in a work by Matthew Rushing. In 2014 she became a scholarship student at the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance where she graduated in June 2016 after performing with Graham 2, at first as an understudy and during the second year of study as a full member. With Graham 2 she performed ensemble and soloist roles in theaters as New York City Center, The Joyce Theater, Martha Graham Studio Theather and Salvatore Capezio Theater.
She now is a company member of Vanessa Long Dance Company, Smashworks Dance Collective, Alessandra Corona Performing Works, Oniin/2, Curet Performance Project and LLMoves.

​                AIMY DAY

Aimy Day Born and raised in Malaysia, Aimy Day began her dance training in Taiping, Perak at the age of six. She later moved to London, England to study ballet on scholarship at the Royal Academy of Dance. When she moved to Connecticut, Ms. Day continued her studies with the Hartt School Community Division and Ballet Theatre Company. Graduating Cum Laude in May of 2015, she received her BA in Dance and a minor in Graphic Design on scholarship at Marymount Manhattan College under the direction of Katie Langan. She has had the pleasure to perform works by Mark Morris, Tami Stronach, Cherice Barton, Kevin Wynn, Catherine Cabeen, Maija Garcia, Vanessa Long, Ruth Lewis, among others. She has performed in said incredible works in Malaysia, England, Italy, and the United States. Currently, she has the privilege of dancing with Vanessa Long Dance Company and Dimensional Dance.


Juliane started dancing at the age of three in the town of Beacon, NY, and has studied a wide variety of styles ever since. Although mainly focusing on jazz and tap throughout her young life, she began to train more closely in contemporary and hip hop during her time at Manhattanville College. Although a Creative Writing major, dance has always been her top passion, and led her to becoming the president and captain of her college dance team. She has performed all over New York, as well as Pennsylvania and Italy in various showcases. Juliane is looking forward to her second year as a company member of the Vanessa Long Dance Company!

​            MASUMI IWAI

Masumi Iwai was born and raised in Japan. She started her studies with Jazz dance at the age of 8. When she was 14, she had an opportunity to performed in Taiwan and the following year in Idaho at the international Art festival held by UNESCO. Those opportunities made her dream to dance all over the world. After she graduated Osaka University of Arts in Japan, where she majored in Musical Theater, she moved to NY to continue her exploration of performing arts in 2015. Her major is  contemporary dance, but she also practices theater dance, tap, ballet, hip-hop, and acrobats along with singing. Currently she is studying at Peridance Capezio Center. She is grateful that now she is finally able to dance as company member with the Vanessa Long Dance Company after being a company member with Long2 last season. ​            DANIEL BYRNE

Daniel grew up in New Egypt, New Jersey and developed a love for the arts at an early age. He graduated with a B.A. In Theatre Arts with a Musical Theatre Concentration from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and is an Alumnus of The Fraternity Alpha Psi Omega. Since then, he has performed with theatre companies throughout New Jersey including Exit82 Theatre, NENAproductions, Algonquin Arts, and The Road Company. His favorite credits include Peter and the Starcatcher with NENAproductions (Boy/Peter) and The Normal Heart with The Road Company (Bruce Niles). He has worked as a dancer and entertainer at Six Flags Great Adventure and is a variety performer with Dragonfly Productions. He loves The Vanessa Long Dance Company and is thrilled to be part of the team!
